GERARD OLIVER – Operations Director

Has worked in the past for Country Club Hotels, Mariott Resorts and Hilton in many roles including Hotel Operations Manager, Golf and Leisure Director and Club Manager. For the last five years he has been the General Manager for Al Corniche Club Resort and Spa. Before joining Al Corniche he was General Manager for LivingWell, part of Hilton International. His experience spans many countries such as Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Malta, Brazil, Turkey and Australia. Gerard's expertise not only covers the running and operation of hotels, leisure and golf but the project management of leisure facilities from construction, to pre-opening, pre-sell, recruitment and finally full operation.



MANSOUR KAMAL – Accounts & Finance Director

Joined Al Taameer as Accounting & Finance Director in May, 2009, as a head of finance, financial and management accounting, treasury for Taameer's group in Kuwait, Morocco, Lebanon and Egypt as well as liaising with other departments as consulting were applicable to his experience. Prior to joining Al Taameer, he worked as Finance Manager with Boubyan Petrochemical Company for more than 7 years, from 1994 to 2001. Has worked in the financial services and Audit division for Talal Abu - Ghazaleh International from 1994 to 2001 and also as an auditor with Arthur Anderson Al-Baziea from 1991 to 1993. Mr. Mansour has over 20 years of experience in the field of Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Investment, Costing, External and Internal audit as well as Financial Consulting. He holds a Bachelor in Commerce & Accounting from Ein-Shames University, Cairo, Egypt. He also holds professional qualification of ACPA (Arab Certified Public Accountant) and is a member of Arab Society of Certified Accountants.



ARUNAVA DAS CHOUDHURY – Vice President – Investments & Research

Experienced in the field of finance, conducting real estate feasibility studies, consulting, real estate valuations, direct investments and real estate funds management. He joined Taameer in June 2008 and currently looks after the company's investment portfolio. Prior to joining Taameer, he worked as a Senior Investment Analyst with the Real Estate Investment Funds Department at Global Investment House, Kuwait where he was responsible for transaction due diligence, structuring, presentations to investors and investor reporting. He received his Bachelor in Civil Engineering from University of North Maharashtra, India in 1999 and completed his M.B.A. (Finance) from Punjab Technical University, India. He also successfully completed the Certificate Program in Hotel Real Estate Investments & Asset Management from Cornell University in June 2011.



MOHAMMED MOOSA AL ABRI – Country Manager – Morocco

Mohammed has over 15 years experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining Al Taameer in March 2009, he worked for the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) in the Sultanate of Oman and UAE where he held managerial roles in various areas including Finance, IT, Front Office, Sales & Marketing and operations. He is experienced in pre-opening of new hotels and implementation of hotel systems, operational procedures and brand standards. His main responsibilities include overseeing the management and overall operations of the company and its subsidiaries in Morocco including hotels and other hospitality projects operated by the company, providing operational support to the hotels' managers and head of departments, leading pre-opening taskforce, setting and implementation of standards, policies and procedures, reviewing hotel operation performance and preparation of budget and business plans.



MESHAL N. AL SALEH – Vice President - Business Development

Meshal has over 8 years experience in the real estate and hospitality industry in the MENA region, focusing primarily on Development and Operations. He graduated from the U.S with a Double Major in Political Science and Communication and also holds 2 Certificates from Cornell Hotel School, Ithaca, N.Y (GMP – Financial Management). Meshal was part of the pre-opening team of Al Corniche Club, Kuwait and through a variety of roles developed solid experience in managing hospitality projects and acquisitions. He currently also holds the position of Vice Chairman of Al Corniche Club Co.



LAYLA EL-MEKDESSI - Legal Advisor

Layla who joined Al Taameer as Legal Advisor in October 2010 is handling all legal issues of the Group. Prior to joining Al Taameer she worked with Ali Abdul Wahab Company in Kuwait from 2008 to 2010 and at Georges Mourani's Law office in Lebanon for more than 5 years. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Law from the Lebanese University. She also holds a certificate of Collaboration in the Session of Rehabilitation for Electronic Trade from the Institute of Electronic Trade and Federation of the Arab Lawyers Union and she is a member of the of Lebanese Lawyers Syndicate.



KHALED BARAKAT – Business Development Manager (Taameer Egypt)

Graduated in Arts, Communications and Advertising from California State University Fullerton, USA in 1997. Prior to joining Taameer, Egypt in 2006 he worked with Al - Mutawa Group (a real estate development company) as a Business Development Director. He has also held managerial positions with a media company in Jordan and with Volvo, Egypt. He specializes in working closely with government departments arranging various permits for start-up businesses, marketing strategies and liaison with lawyers and brokers.
